Steel Grade Introduction and Applications
1.4460 (also known as X3CrNiMoN27-5-2, AISI 329, SS 2324, PRODEC®) is a premium austenitic-ferritic stainless steel supplied by FUSHUN METAL. This high-performance duplex stainless steel is characterized by excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion, and corrosion fatigue. The steel combines high strength with excellent machinability and superior toughness properties.
FUSHUN METAL ensures consistent quality and reliable supply of this specialized stainless steel grade, meeting stringent requirements for marine applications, chemical processing, and high-performance engineering components. The two-phase microstructure and low carbon content provide superior resistance to intergranular corrosion after sensitization.

Delivery Condition: 1.4460 is supplied by FUSHUN METAL in solution annealed condition for optimal corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Important Note: The steel is susceptible to embrittlement when applied in the temperature range of 300-900°C.
Service Temperature: Scaling temperature in air is approximately 1070°C.
